Comic Gong 2015 was great! The crowd and general vibe was very positive and fun! It was nice to see people take advantage of the Bolt Comic Bundles we had on offer. The day really flew by and it really wasn't until the last hour we had a chance to catch our breath. This is the only photo we had time to post on our facebook page on the day! The Comic Gong crowd is exactly the type of people Bolt comics are made for. Young adults, middle aged, older people, kids, comics veterans and comics newbies. Such a great mix of people. Thanks to everyone who came up and chatted or purchased something. You really made it a great day for us!

It's here! Comic Gong 2015!

New Bolt Comics merchandise will be released at Comic Gong.

We are really excited for Comic Gong 2015. We are releasing The Adventurers Issue 4. Since we are so excited to release the final issue in our first story arc we will have lots of special The Adventurers bundles. Issue 1 is also being released as a weekly web comic to celebrate here.

We are going to do a big release for A Brigand's Tale 2 at Sydney Supanova in June. BUT the book looks and reads so good we are doing a soft release at Comic Gong. When you buy issue 2 use codeword: Hunter to receive a free A Brigand's Tale print. There will also be A Brigand's Tale bundle to check out. Phew! What an exciting time to be a Bolt Comics fan!

Comic Gong 2015

This Saturday the 16th of May is Comic Gong and it looks like it's going to be it's biggest year yet! Artist's Alley takes up two rooms in Wollongong Town Hall! Among all the excitement of comics, cos-play and Artist Alley there will also be a 1989 Batmobile  and the Phantoms fabulous skull Cave. Bolt Comics is so proud to be part of the event. We'll be located in the Multi-Purpose room. Come and say "Hi". Well have some fun The Adventurers and A Brigand's Tale comics and prints for sale.

Comic Gong is set to be great again in 2015.

Less than a month until Comic Gong. We participated last year and had a great day. This year Comic Gong looks to be bigger and better. We will be in Wollongong Town Hall with over 30 other artist's and publishers that make up Artist Alley. We are really excited to be a part of this amazing event. Our First Competition!

Last week we launched the first competition for Bolt Comics. If you think you can draw Brigand, the hero (?) of A Brigand's Tale, the other characters in the book or any other Bolt Comics characters have a go. All entrants will proudly be displayed right here!

Brigand: As eloquent as ever.

Together again for the first time!

We have been drawing comics for most of our lives. However it is only in the last few years that we have finally stepped out into publishing our stories.

When we were drawing our characters and stories for all those years we would sometimes draw each others characters for fun but it never occurred to us to draw our characters together in one picture... until now!

 So for the first time ever the Bolt Comics stable of characters, The Adventurers, the cast from A Brigand's Tale and that bucket headed guy called The Bolt appear all together in a "jam piece"!

The casts of A Brigand's Tale and The Adventurers, oh and The Bolt by Daniel and Andrew Tribe.

Cara Kennett-Tribe who's colouring skills have made all of The Adventurers covers pop is working on colouring this. We'll be showing it off when it's done!

If the poses look a little familiar it's because the picture is a homage to Kevin Macguire's famous Justice League International cover.

                                                      

Bolt Comics Strikes at Tregear Public School.

The students of Tregear Public school have some exciting reading to look forward to thanks to their school librarian Mrs Blue. 

A Brigand's Tale and The Adventurers arrive at the school library.

It's great to see the Bolt Comics displayed alongside classic characters such as Captain Congo, Tintin, Captain Underpants and the Mighty Thor!

A special thanks to Mr  (Mike) Stoneburner for suggesting Bolt Comics to the school.
Mike will be adding his writing talent to Bolt Comics starting with A Brigand's Tale 2!

Principal Richard Ford is rumoured to have signed copies in his office! We hope the students of Tregear enjoy joining us on our adventures.

Bolt Comics Sydney Supanova 2014 Review

What an exciting weekend for Bolt Comics. It was so good to meet so many people who were interested in our books! To those who bought our books, we are sure you'll enjoy them and be back for more in the future!

Our creators worked hard to give people a free sketch when they bought a comic. We use the term "Sketch" loosely. These are more like mini master pieces! Here is a selection of characters from The

We are really excited for Supanova this year. Last year marked the launch of The Adventurers and incidentally Bolt Comics! This year we will be selling the follow-up issues of The Adventurers plus our newest title A Brigands's Tale. We are looking forward to meeting people and having a good time. Lightning strikes at Comic Gong!

Comic Gong is finally here! On Saturday 17th May you can find Bolt Comics at artist Alley table 27 inside the Wollongong Town Hall. Bolt Comics will have lots of goodies on offer including...

  ...the first two issues of The Adventurers issues 1 and 2. Issue 3 will be officially released on Saturday. There will also be limited edition prints and shirts! But...

Bolt Comics first title, The Adventurers, issues 1, 2 and 3. 

...even more exciting is that Bolt Comics second title A Brigand's Tale will be launched as well!
